Quintin Berry is a bass player based in coastal Alabama known for a unique “cradle” style of playing in which he holds his instrument with the body high against his chest and the neck at a sharp downward angle. He has been active across the state with many ensembles, notably including The Ugli Stick and Stereofauna.

At NickNacks, we wanted to create something that gives back while celebrating Quintin Berry and everything he means to Mobile's music scene.

According to the Bass for Berry benefit coordinators, Berry is “preparing to undergo prostate surgery and will be unable to work for an estimated 3 to 6 months while he recovers.” The Bass for Berry fundraiser is intended to help cover “rent, food, medications, medical expenses, and everyday living costs while he focuses on healing instead of worrying about how he’ll pay his bills.”
